Youth mentoring is the process of matching mentors with young people who need or want a caring, responsible adult in their lives. Adult mentors are usually unrelated to the child or teen and work as volunteers through a community-, school-, or church-based social service program.
There are about 15 million children who need caring adult mentors. Esteem Teens offers one-to-one mentoring for youth ages 14-18. Qualified mentors would have successfully completed the application process, which includes criminal background checks and interviews. Learn More...

The rites-of-passage portion of the program provides the youth with real-world educational examples that will benefit them through their transition into adulthood. The weekly program includes topics ranging from politics to social skills and community service. The curriculum is facilitated by a caring adult who will be guide the youth throughout their journey.
